Paola García Meneses

Paola is a specialist in sustainability, climate change and studies deep linkage/collaboration processes with a field of action focused on the generation of networks and alliances to generate greater impact in sustainability projects. Her work focuses on integrating science and other sectors to address complex issues, particularly in social-ecological systems from a transdisciplinary approach.
Paola is a Biologist from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and holds a PhD in Science from the University of Plymouth, UK. Her background is complemented by a solid international experience in applied research and geospatial ecological modeling, as well as training in diverse methodologies for socio-environmental analysis.
In addition to her academic background, she teaches in the Graduate Program in Sustainability Sciences at UNAM. She currently works as a researcher at the National Laboratory of Sustainability Sciences (LANCIS) of the Institute of Ecology at UNAM, where she coordinates projects on sustainability analysis platforms, resilience strategies and citizen participation, actively contributing to applied research and public policy advocacy.
